Cut out circle from piece of white bread, melt butter in frying pan or griddle, put bread in pan, crack egg and put in center hole of bread, place circle in pan and toast on both sides. Once lightly set, flip bread over and cook on other side. Salt and pepper as desired. Serve with toasted middle.
