Sloppy Joes

In a food processor, combine onion, peppers, garlic. Pulse until very finely minced.

Heat oil in large skillet, add the onion mixture and saute 4-5 minutes. Add the spices, stir well and saute another 4 minutes or until onions are very soft.

Add the ground meat and saute, breaking up clumps with a spoon until the meat is browned, about 5 minutes.

In a large measuring cup, whisk together the ketchup, tomato puree, and vinegar. Add this to the meat, bring to a simmer, and cook uncovered for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Season with salt and pepper. Scoop sloppy joes onto each bun bottom, top, and serve. Good eaten with dill pickles.
