BACON PIE (also known as quiche)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees with rack in middle of oven.

Line pie dish with pie crust. Crimp edges.

Place crumbled bacon in bottom of pie crust and top with cheese.

In blender put eggs, half-n-half, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Blend well for a few seconds. Pour egg mixture in pie crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, do not open oven door, but turn oven temperature down to 350 degrees. Cook quiche for additional 25 minutes or until it appears set. Remove from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes to set before cutting.
