Julie’s Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
Instructions

In a large heavy kettle, sauté onion and garlic in butter and olive oil until translucent.

Add beef, pork, and veal; cook over medium heat until browned.

Stir in bell pepper, mushrooms, tomato paste, tomatoes, Worcestershire, bitters, sugar, wine, salt, pepper, celery salt, bay leaves, and cayenne.

Simmer over low heat for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

Divide spaghetti among warmed plates and top with sauce.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
