Julie’s Flank Steak

Combine all ingredients and stir until brown sugar is dissolved. Place flank steak in marinade and refrigerate for 2 hours. Preheat grill to about 400 degrees F. Sear meat on both sides, then grill for about 7 minutes per side to be medium rare. Let rest 4-5 minutes, then slice against the grain. If desired, top flank steak with caramelized onions and sauteed mushrooms.

If marinating more than 2 hours, change soy sauce to ½ cup soy sauce and 1 cup oil of choice.
